Master Electrician
Jeff’s interest in solar energy first began in 1973 when he cooked his first hot dog with tin foil. He has been an electrician for over 13 years and holds a Colorado Master Electrician’s license. Jeff moved to Colorado in 1993, and worked as a vertical rise personal chair coordinator (lift operator). After achieving the highest acclaim in the ski industry, Jeff sought a more rewarding career of acoustical design and sound engineering.
As electrical project manager for the Marc Electric Corporation and later founding his own Boulder company, Custom Electric, Jeff set up residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems. Jeff has installed thousands of kilowatts of solar photovoltaics. He provides high-quality, thorough and detailed electrical installations through ongoing communication with clients and prides himself in finding creative solutions for complex projects.
Colorado Connections: Jeff followed his older sister from Chicago to Colorado in the late ’80s (with a couple of Grateful Dead detours) where he fell in love with powder skiing. His love for the mountains inspired him to build his first energy-efficient home in Leadville. In his spare time, Jeff mountain bikes, golfs, makes custom concrete countertops, travels the earth to surf, and renovates homes making his wife suffer in construction debris. Jeff and his wife Wendee reside in Longmont along with their “chow-beagle-ador”, Ocoee. Wendee is an independent event, meeting planner and educator and Jeff loves her very, very much.
