City of Broomfield Solar Installation

Completed in mid 2011, Bella Energy provided the turnkey installation and financial consulting for a Sun Edison PPA with the City of Broomfield. The project is located at two sites; providing 189 kW of solar energy generation for the City.

The first is an 89 kW ground mounted array at the wastewater treatment plant. The second is a 100 kW ground mounted array for the Broomfield Detention Center. The array runs across a hilltop with highly variable terrain and very high wind speeds.

The Boulders is an environmentally friendly apartment complex located in Boulder, CO. In the summer of 2010, Bella Energy helped install 99 kW of solar energy systems across 9 buildings. Case Study: Eco-Products

When Eco-Products moved into their new office facility, they sought to continue their long standing commitment to sustainability and diversify their company’s assets by investing n a solar energy system. Working with Bella Energy, Eco-Products was able to implement a 49kW solar system that covers approximately 50 percent of their building’s energy cost. Further financial benefits are expected through depreciation of the solar system and realizing the tax benefits provided in the Federal Investment Tax Credit. The Bella Energy solar system delivered a significant reduction in Eco-Products’ environmental footprint as well as a boost to their bottom line.

Case Study: Boulder County

Justice Center, Boulder County Solar Energy Project

Boulder County and Bella Energy have installed a 200kW solar electric systems on the Justice Center at 1777 6th Street, Boulder.

The project was financed using an innovative financial partnership with Conergy Finance Program that maximizes the County’s return on investment and minimizes up-front costs. Bella Energy designed and installed the systems.

Total energy production will be approximately 280,000 kilowatt hours per year, covering 15% of the building’s energy. A Fat Spaniel computer-based monitoring system will track energy production and consumption data, accessible to the public over the internet.
