Gary graduated college with a degree in Human Development when the solar industry was fresh and unpredictable, but he stuck with it. In 1979, Gary moved to Boulder to start Solar Heating Systems, designing, selling and installing solar thermal systems. As VP of Sales and Marketing, Gary helped grow Novan Energy to be one of the largest flat plate solar panel manufacturers in the country.

When the solar industry declined in 1986 Gary joined an executive recruiting firm until Gary co-founded his own innovative recruiting firm, Careermag.com, one of the Internet’s first job websites. Gary sold his company, worked as a market consult and, with his wife, opened a successful used bookstore in Broomfield. It was fun and interesting, but the passion for the solar industry was still there.

This year Gary has come full circle back to the solar industry by joining Bella Energy. Gary is a member of both the CO Renewable Energy Society and the American Solar Energy Society.

Colorado Connections: Gary moved to Boulder in 1976 to start a company called Solar Heating Systems, designing, selling and installing solar thermal systems. He met his wife Lori, CU grad and his next-door neighbor at the time, and they were married in Boulder in 1982. The Resnikoff’s first daughter was born in Boulder.
